Ashtanga Yoga (how I am slowly becoming granola)
So there is an amazing Yoga place near the hostel I work at. Despite my utter horror at the thought of working out in bare feet, I decided to give it a go. My first class, Power Vinyasa, was challenging but today I decided to do Ashtanga. When the teacher told me it was difficult, I thought, Pshhh…maybe for the chicken-legged Argentines. Oh, how wrong I was. An hour and a half of non-stop strength positions later and I looked like I had taken a bath in my own sweat. I will definitely be hurting tomorrow, but Im excited for my next class!
I think this may be a regular fixture when I get back to the States.
